RE: We're planning a trip to Yellowstone & Grand Tetons

Another vote for Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone---great park. We have stayed there more than once. It is close to the entrance and within walking distance of many things in town. Very clean park, too.

RE: Porta-Bote rack

We had our dealer install ours on the slide. They assured us that the added weight wouldn't hurt and we had nowhere else to put it. It's been over a year and no problems.

RE: Winterizing

We have a second home that we don't get to very often. It is in Pennsylvania close to the New York border where they get lots of snow. We keep the furnace at 45 all winter and never have had anything freeze up. We don't have a dishwasher, but do have a washing machine. Have lots of fun and don't worry about it--your house will be fine.

RE: New York State Prescription Refills

When we were in New York recently, I refilled a prescription that had a 90 day supply. I am from Pennsylvania and they told me they would fax my Wal Mart for the prescription. They did, but only would give me a 30 day supply. I will no longer get mine refilled in New York, either.

RE: prescription refills

Thank you for all your replies. Especially SidKaye as you have been there, done that. This trip will only be in the Gannonoque and Kingston area, which is not too far above the border. This has never been a problem because neither my husband nor I have ever had medications that we take on a regular basis before. Again, I thank you all for your wonderful advice.

RE: carrying shower stuff

Thank you very much for all your replies. I really liked the mesh totes, downtheroad. Fordsooperdootydieselsmoker, you had some great ideas, also. I will be using some of them for sure. I knew I would find an answer from you guys because you always come through.

carrying shower stuff

What do you carry your shower stuff in when you take campground showers? Back in our tenting and pop up days, I had a hard plastic box-type thingy with a handle that I used. It had small compartments just big enough for things like soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, etc. It was about a foot long and just perfect. My daughter has just bought a pop up and her family is just beginning to start rving. I was wondering what everyone uses nowadays to carry their shower stuff in. This thing I had was just great because it didn't matter if you got it wet, so you could just take it into the shower with you. I don't remember where I got it as it was so long ago.

prescription refills

I know that if you get a prescription filled at Wal Mart in the United States, you can get it refilled at any other Wal Mart in the U.S. What about getting them refilled at a Wal Mart in Canada? We are about to leave for a vacation in Canada, and I was wondering about some of my prescriptions that might need to be refilled while we are gone. Does anyone know if I could get them filled up there if the original is in the states? I have already asked the pharmacist and he told me he didn't know because it has never happened to him.

RE: Walmart in Carlise, PA

We stayed in this particular Wal Mart just last week. There was a lot of campers there, so we went to the other end of the lot and asked the store manager next to the area we overnighted in. They told us no problem-----and there was no problem.

RE: Day/Night Shades vs Mini Blinds

I vote for the mini blinds. We have had both and do not like the shades. We don't have little kids, either. Still, it is a personal choice and I wish you lots of luck with whatever you choose.
